Bloomin Brands International

An international restaurant corporation with dining establishments such as Bonefish Grill, Carraba’s and Outback Steakhouse was looking to enhance their online ordering process. A high-fidelity prototype for Outback’s mobile ordering site was used to conduct remote, unmoderated usability evaluations.

OBJECTIVES

Predict the success of the redesign effort by, in part, conducting before-and-after usability tests.

Enhance the online ordering experience by:

  • Eliminating frictional elements in the user interface
  • Streamlining ordering flows
  • Optimizing the mobile online ordering storefront

METHODS USED

  • Industry research
  • Remote, unmoderated usability evaluations
  • Metrics with demographic breakdown, including:
    • Single Ease Question (SEQ)
    • Levels of Success
    • Net Promoter Score (NPS)
