I didn’t go looking for UX. I found it in a required class I never knew I needed. First semester of grad school, Intro to HCI. Twenty minutes in, I got it. Both sides of my brain lit up. I didn’t know why until I was finishing my Master’s degree: ADHD diagnosis. My brain was built for exactly this.
Most broken products aren’t broken because of what everyone’s staring at. They’re broken because of what nobody in the room can see. They’re too close to it, wearing blinders and holding biases they don’t know they have. That’s where I come in. I’ll tell you what’s wrong, even if you didn’t ask, even if it’s outside my lane. I don’t sugar coat things. It’s exhausting, and it doesn’t fix anything.
I’m also a problem solver and a maker. If I think there’s any possible way to build it myself, I’ll try. I’ll figure it out, wire it together, make it work. By the time you’ve spotted the problem, I’m already three moves past it, working on the fix. If your product’s broken and nobody’s told you why, that’s my job. Let’s talk.
How I got here
Fine art photography, sign fabrication, museum conservation and pharmacy, then HCI.
