Three moderated and unmoderated usability studies that shaped redesigns before launch.
3 studies, 3 industries
- Newfields & IMA: 16 participants across two studies
- New York Life: myNYL portal prototype evaluation
- Bloomin’ Brands: before-and-after mobile ordering tests
Newfields & Indianapolis Museum of Art
Two studies supporting the IMA’s rebrand to Newfields. Seven participants tested the beta site across desktop and mobile, and nine tested the IMA Collections site remotely, measured with levels of success, SEQ and SUPR-Q. Key findings: users misread the event calendar (assuming grayed-out dates meant the museum was closed), search failed on misspellings and synonyms, and returning to the collections home page after a search was the hardest task for every participant.
New York Life
A moderated usability study of the myNYL prototype before it replaced the existing customer portal, using task-based scenarios, SEQ, levels of success and SUS. [Add one key finding.]
Bloomin’ Brands
Remote, unmoderated before-and-after usability tests of Outback’s mobile ordering prototype to predict the success of the redesign, using SEQ, levels of success and NPS. [Add one key finding.]
